The Barclay Premier League is arguably considered the most physical, aggressive, and superior league in the world with players exhibiting sublime technical skills.
Millions of Soccer fans throughout the world watch Barclay’s Premier league religiously every Saturday and Sunday including yours truly. As if watching is not enough, we wear club colors to identify with the club and town or city of each club we support. We pack the pubs or bars, depending on which part of the world you are watching from.
When we hear words or phrases like Blues, Terry, Stamford Bridge, soccer fans in every part of the world know you are taking about “Chelsea football club”. When you mention Reds, Old Trafford, Rooney, Sir Alex Ferguson, fans know that is “Manchester United Football Club” whose fans have learnt what humility means the last four years.
The name Arsene Wenger is synonymous with the “Arsenal Football club”. The most interesting thing for fans who do not live in the club town or cities, is that most of these soccer fans have nothing in common with these cities, their colors or history, except for the crazy love we fans have for the beautiful game called football or soccer as I have known it called growing up.
My fellow soccer fans in Michigan, it is time we leave our basements or man caves and come out and watch some interesting soccer derby marches with other loyal soccer fans of other clubs and enjoy the ribbings you might get from other fans.
Leicester City Soccer Club are defending champions of the Barclays Premier League 2016 and I don’t expect another miracle to happen again this year. The Barclays Premier League Champions for 2017 will be one of these four usual suspects and two new comers veering for the top four of the premier league table.
The season is almost to the half way point, which team do you think will win the championship? Your comments and arguments are welcome.
Fans that follow clubs like Swansea city, Hull city, Burnley, and Crystal Palace to mention but a few of these futbol teams torment their hardcore fans with heart breaking losses and an opportunity to stay above the relegation zone. Their fans still show up week after week.
